"an unforgettable experience "

One of the best service i ever had ,with an extreme elegance, politeness ,proudness ,class, and real dignity. The long culture of India, throught centuries, can be seen in this Hotel. A real master- class of hospitality.

The natural class of this Palace is everywhere . Simplicity , excellent design, correct mixture of traditional architecture and minimal style, lovely public spaces as the entrance , the lobby , calmness and serenity everywhere and finally the impressive courtyard with an atmosphere that is similar to a fairytale, especially at night ,with a sound background of the Indian fountain falling waters .the impressive lighting of the building and the good proportion of outdoor spaces give us the opportunity to explore the stars in the night and feel happy that we had another possibility to enjoy this Hotel.

The scenery traveling to that hotel is really interesting. In the middle of the desert but not to far of the city of Jaisalmer, enough to feel in the middle of nowhere this new Castle is erased , having an excellent choice of the cite .Dunes, sand, desert horizon with not any human statement all-around except the luxurious stone construction with the name of Suryagarh hotel .A lovely stoned road takes you to the first gate of the Castel then the same rough road ,as in the old Maharaja Palaces ,brings you to the second gate .There ,with an colorful prince umbrella ,you can walk through a garden ,a lovely fountain ,to the tiny old style wooden door of the main entrance and then begins the dream.

As a Greek Architect , having an experience of designing Hotels for big International companies and living in a very touristic and diverted country, I would like to congratulate the Architectural and Design team for this excellent work and the hight standard quality of construction as well as the owner of this Hotel for his choices and corect decisions giving us the possibility of ,joy .Really,in the future ,I would feel very lucky to participate to that team and take part to a creative and successful adventure as that one .

The spacious rooms with their wonderful beds ,the huge, full marble bathrooms , some clever ideas of lighting and many small details are exactly in the same serene atmosphere of the hole building .

The experience of having diner to the huge court yard ,hearing live traditional music and assisting to a Rajastani pa pet theater was beautiful with no touristic feeling of a semi -professional performance .The lovely food , the perfect service ,the stars in the sky , the successful lighting of the traditional architecture mixed with sounds of water and music could not create any other feeling than just of an unforgettable stay. This "experience "will be deeply engraved in my memory for many years.

"Absolute luxury! In the middle of the desert! We loved it!"

We spent 2 nights at Suryagarh just last weekend and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The comfortable, luxurious and spacious suites were amazing.
Also, the food! Everything was great - from Italian to traditional Rajasthani! It was all amazing.
But most important and what really stood out was the service. We have travelled to numerous properties worldwide due to us being avid travelers plus the line of work we are in (destination wedding planners) and I have to say that the service at Suryagarh was among the best we have experienced worldwide.

Also, I must mention, since we checked the hotel out from a wedding point of view - it has fabulous venues! From courtyards, terraces, gardens (yes in the middle of the desert) and even sand dunes for a private dinner or a party! Plus the cooperation of the staff would make the entire process even easier, I am sure.

We will definitely be back - I highly recommend the property for a quiet getaway! :)

"It is a palace in the heavens, even in the summers. True oasis"

It is the first of its kind luxury boutique property in Jaisalmer, designed as a 19th century fort with all modern day comforts.
Conveniently located en route to the Sam dunes from the city centre, Suryagarh has 62 luxuriously appointed Rooms and Royal Suites where contemporary design meets Royal Rajasthan. The unlimited summer fun package offers two nights and three days stay at Palace Room with double occupancy inclusive of all meals, unlimited beer & IMFL alcohol for two during dinner.

Also, experience guided excursion trips to the spectacular ruins of Kuldhara, Gadisar Lake as well as tour of the Desert National Park. An adventurous side by dune bashing at Sam and enjoy breathtaking views of the sunset. A plethora of activities within the premises of the hotel, such as cooking session with the chef, morning yoga sessions.

Surely will be back with lots of friends. Eagerly waiting for the authentic Rajasthani restaurant to open.

"Oasis of thar"

First impression: oh my god, unbelievable!! Incredible!! Surygarh invokes the awe in your heart.

The first impression is of grandeur n opulence. Moment you enter on the soil of suryagarh your chest fills with erstwhile imperial pride, and I literally started behaving like an emperor, amazing, (you have to try it to believe it) I was so excited that I tipped everyone like a big hearted maharaja.

I had four meals with my family in the restaurant named nosh. Quality of food was one of the finest I ever had. On one occasion we tried their rajasthani thali n it was worth a clap for the chefs. we feel sorry that we could not meet them during our stay, as they were operating from behind the scene.

Room standards and quality of sleep were of very high quality. Overall experience was kind of "once in a lifetime experience" the only part which disappointed me was lack of airport in Jaisalmer else we could have stayed two more nights at our newly discovered palace.

"A wonderful stay- very magical"

I was truly amazed by this hotel and very happy with my stay here.

I arrived here with my friends in late April, after a 16 hour train ride from Delhi. The hotel is about 15 minutes drive outside of the town of Jaisalmer, on the road to the desert. It is pretty much in the middle of nowhere and from the road, you suddenly see the sillhouette arising in the distance- it's very dramatic. It is styled in the fashion of a fort, I think, although it is completely modern. Before I travelled, I was worried that the style may be a little gauche and trashy, trying to make something very new look old. However, I was very happy with the styling of the hotel.

We were welcomed into the hotel by a hostess and other hotel staff with welcome drinks. Check in was very civilised, we were taken to our rooms where we filled in the forms at our leisure. The rooms were really amazing- on the upper level of the building- the corridors on the way to rooms were spectacular- I really appreciated the thought and design that has gone in to the detail of the decor. The hotel has back up generators, so no problems with the AC (a big deal in Jaisalmer in the summer). The bathroom was huge- the rainforest shower a delight and the toileteries very luxurious.

At night, we ate in the open air, in the middle courtyard. There was a folk music and dance group performing and they were really excellent. I'm no expert but they sounded pretty authentic. The lighting at night of the hotel was also spectacular. All in all a great experience.

"Magic in the Dessert..."

I have visited Jaisalmer many times earlier, however my most recent visit a few weeks ago, unraveled a completely unique facet to fall in love with – courtesy, the lovely property I stayed at – Suryagarh, Jaisalmer.

True to its name (literally translates to a Sun Fortress), this property is an architectural marvel. Built like the famous Rajasthan Fort of yester years, it exceeded expectations in every area. We connected to Jodhpur by plane from Delhi, and were whisked away on an extremely comfortable 4 hour drive to Jaisalmer (have to compliment the state on maintaining fantastic roads)…..our arrival was just before dinner and we could spot the beautifully lit hotel from a long distance off, which clearly took our breath away....We felt like Royalty ourselves! The property boasts of exceptional staff, and it was a pleasure to interact with such a young and successful bunch of managers on property.

Our suite was large and opulent, providing every Luxury possible, including a beautifully appointed Bathroom – a must for a fancy holiday! While the purpose of our visit was mainly to relax on property, the Hotel provided for some fine day sightseeing options. One has to try their High Tea by the Dunes during the sunset, clearly a signature experience. My favourite area was the indoor pool and Spa…couldn’t have asked for more! And if that wasn’t enough, there was this Exceptional Chef who churned out delicious food in international and Indian cuisines…..Ideal hotel for couples seeking solitude, as well as families traveling with Children who would be spoilt for choice with activities on offer! Having traveled extensively, Suryagarh has made it to my list of all time favourite hotels. We booked online and got a fabulous deal on our 3 night stay….cannot wait to revisit once again.

"loved it!"

Recently returned from a four day leisure trip with friends to Suryagarh.

Its a stunning hotel, rising like a shimmering chimera above the desert sands of jaisalmer. A mint new fort reproduction, the hotel has some lovely touches - the crest of arms set in the driveway in sandstone, lit up at night, the birdcage installation at the entrance, the stunning bar area where a Rajasthani man's moustache serves as the bar table, the pool which is cool and welcoming done in peacock themes of turquoise and gold (too cold to go in now, but can imagine it being gorgeous come summer) and the many mosaic courtyards and lovely pools dotted around the property.

the rooms were ok, a bit dark, but the suites that we got a tour of were lovely! There were some lovely little touches as well - the little - clean my room, do not disturb, clean my laundry thingummyjigs that you get to hang on your door - were all illustrated in classical Rajasthani style, but wittily updated and printed on quilted fabric. So cute, wanted to pinch some!

The food was decent, the service warm and they arrange some pretty lovely outings - sunset at the sand dunes with some tea and sandwiches, or dinner if you like. Sunset on some nearby cliffs that manage to look out over all of creation - or so it seems.

All in all, a great holiday at a super place.
